Local All-American Scholar

The United States Acheivement Academy announced today that Ayana Henry from LaPlace has been named an All-American Scholar.

The USAA has established the All-American Scholar At-Large Award Program to offer deserved recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines. The All-American Scholars mst earn 3.3 or higher grade point average.

Henry, who attends John L. Ory Magnet School, was nominated for the honor by the United States Achivement Academy. She will appear in the All-American Scholar At-Large Yearbook which is published nationally.

Henry is the daughter of Mr. Kim and Penny Henry of LaPlace. Her grandparents are Leroy and Lilly Henry of Reserve and Isiah and Bernice Douglas of New Sarpy.
