Celebrating Get High on Life 32nd anniversary

Sixteen years ago, my friend, Danny Louque, called and told me he wanted to help the Get High on Life ministry financially. Together with a group of men, he formed an advisory committee to assist the ministry, and the first Get High on Life fundraising banquet was held.

It has become an annual social, and Tuesday, April 17, at 7 p.m., the committee will host its 16th fundraiser, celebrating the 32nd anniversary of God’s ministry of reaching out to the lonely and hurting in our community.

The dinner social will be held at the Lutcher Public Relations Building next to the Lutcher High School. Donation for the social is $100 per couple.

For anyone interested in being a sponsor, the committee offers the opportunity to be a Platinum sponsor for a $1,000 donation, a Gold sponsor for $500 or a Silver sponsor for $250.

Get High on Life is a nonprofit organization that is available to the public. Jeanne and I have seen God expand our territory and open doors to minister God’s Word.

For the past 18 years, we have been privileged to hold weekly meetings at Fontainebleau Treatment Center in Mandeville. The jail ministry every Wednesday night in LaPlace was started three years ago. I speak at schools and business and industry safety meetings and conduct family interventions for families with problems.

As we celebrate 32 years of God’s ministry, we are grateful for His favor and the people He’s allowed us to meet.

The public is invited to witness touching testimonies of individuals who are on the road to a drug-free life.
