National Library Week is being observed during the week of April 8-15. According to St. John Library director Randy De Soto, during that week, all fines will be forgiven on overdue books, videos and other library material from any branch of the St. John Library. Fine free is not extended to fines for materials already returned but were returned late or overdue. Material may be returned to any branch of the library. It is not necessary to return it to the branch from which you checked out the material.

Now is the time to look for all those misplaced library books or other materials and return them with no fine. De Soto said that library users in the past have found books in boxes in the attic, under couches and car seats. The fine-free period applies to material returned in the library as well as through the book return boxes located at each branch.
