Troy Brown to host River Parishes meetings

LAPLACE – State Senator Troy Brown will host a pair of community meetings in the River Parishes as part of a series of talks with residents and government leaders in his senate district.

On Tuesday, Brown will be in St. James Parish at the courthouse annex, 2631 Louisiana Highway 20, in Vacherie. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, Brown will make a stop in St. John the Baptist Parish at the Central Library Branch, 2920 U.S. Highway 51, in LaPlace. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Brown’s senate district represents eight parishes and includes portions of all three River Parishes.

Brown will discuss various legislative issues including education reform, retirement and health care. Other legislative leaders within the senate district will be on hand to address any constituent concerns.
