LAPLACE – Authorities in St. John the Baptist Parish are investigating a shooting in Garyville Wednesday in which shots were fired on a trailer home. Deputies responded to the 400 block of South Fig Street in Garyville for a report of shots fired around 11:52 p.m., said Capt. Dane Clement, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the trailer owner, who said he and his girlfriend were inside the trailer when they heard gunshots. Clement said no one was injured in the shooting.  

Investigators observed bullet holes in the trailer and collected bullet casings at the scene, Clement said. The incident is still under investigation.
