Catherine Bein Barnes, 88, died March 6, 2012. She was a resident of Jefferson.

She was a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church, and she worked with Closer Walk Ministries and the Magnificat, a Ministry to Catholic Women.

Catherine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norford Truman Barnes, her mother, Catherine Caserta, father, Elliot Bein, and sister, Betty Ouiliber.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Pamela Barnes Treas, brother E.J. Bein, grandchildren Kelly Marie Hodge, William Truman Treas, Jaret Maborn Treas, Corey David Treas, Daniel Martin Treas, John Michael Treas and Timothy Joseph Treas and 13 wonderful great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass was held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace on Friday, March 9, 2012. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Agnes, 3310 Jefferson Highway, Jefferson, LA 70121.
