Zina “Sam” Marie Millet Madere, 51, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.

Relatives, friends of the family and employees of State Farm Insurance are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord, 1809 Greenwood Drive, LaPlace. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemtery in Reserve.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel P. Millet Sr.

Sam leaves to cherish her many precious memories her beloved husband, Blaine Paul Madere Sr.; children, Harmonie Madere Marks (Bradford Ryan) and Blaine Paul Madere Jr. (Christine Marie); four grandchildren, Tyler Rae Marks, Preston Michael Marks, Kaylee Marie Toleos and Reagan Marie Madere; her mother, Barbara Ann Millet; her brother, Daniel P. Millet Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society.
