River Parishes Hospital recently held an open house for its newly renovated sleep lab.

Gerald A. Fornoff, River Parishes Hospital CEO, welcomed all attendees to the open house. He introduced Dr. Bogdan Nowakowski, who will interpret all sleep studies. Nowakowski is board certified in pulmonology by the American Board of Pulmonology and is board certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Fornoff then recognized Haydel’s Furniture in Norco where the furniture was purchased to furnish the two sleep study rooms.

Sleep studies are available seven days a week in the evenings from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. All major insurance plans are accepted. A physician’s order is required to schedule a sleep study.
