The Senior Friends Members at River Parishes Hospital recently attended a Mardi Gras/BCS Bowl Meet and Greet luncheon in the River Parishes Hospital Medical Pavilion. Members were asked to wear something purple, green and gold and were able to bring a guest to learn about the benefits available to them by becoming a member of the Senior Friends Program.

Karla Millet, a Registered Dietitian on staff at River Parishes Hospital, spoke to the group about starting the New Year off right by making some simple changes in their diet in an effort to eat healthier. A brief question and answer period followed the presentation. Afterwards, several drawings were held for door prizes.
