LAPLACE – Two brothers were booked on assorted drug and weapons possession charges after St. John the Baptist Parish detectives executed a court ordered search warrant on their Garyville home as part of a narcotics investigation.

A Garyville woman who was present at the home during the raid was also arrested and issued a misdemeanor summons for possession of stolen things found at the home, said Capt. Dane Clement, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities arrested Kiemond Dunn, 23, and Dalton Dunn, 27, both of 284 Little Hope St., Garyville, where the search was executed. Clement said detectives along with members of the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Response Team executed the warrant Tuesday after receiving tips of possible illegal drug activity at the residence.

Once inside, detectives recovered small amounts of marijuana, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, two stolen televisions and three handguns. Clement said two of the guns were previously reported stolen, one in St. John Parish and the other in St. Charles Parish. The two televisions had been reported stolen in St. John.

Kiemond Dunn was booked with possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of illegal possession of stolen weapons – first offense and illegal carrying a weapon in the presence of a controlled substance. Dalton Dunn, 27, was booked with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Clement said Coshavon Robertson, 25, of Historic Main Street, Garyville, was at the home at the time of the search. She was issued a misdemeanor summons for possession of stolen property.

Kiemond Dunn is being held on a $136,500 bond and Daton Dunn is being held on a $51,500 bond. Both remain in jail at the Sherman Walker Correctional Facility in LaPlace.
