Ralph “Hawk” Robert Keating Sr., 79, died Jan. 28, 2012, at 12:20 a.m. He was a native of LaPlace and a resident of Garyville.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joyce Louque Keating, daughters Ann Harris and husband Phil of Avondale, Molly Webre and husband Anthony of Ponchatoula, Jane Keating of Ponchatoula and Mary Mancelli and husband Tim of Garyville, sons Eric Keating of Garyville and Robert “Ralph” Keating Jr. and wife Sharon of Garyville, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Godfrey Keating of Norco, and sisters, Audrey Icearco of Norco and Marion Brittner of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Celine Gendron Keating, a brother, Lloyd Keating, sisters, Mable Keating and Ruby Spencer, and a grandson, Jamie Keating.
