Gary “Big G” Gerard Felder, 59, of LaPlace passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. He was a graduate of Destrehan High School and attended Southeastern University. He was a production team leader for Motiva for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cynthia LeBlanc Felder, and was the father of Christopher (fiancée Lauryn Russo) and Benjamin Felder. He was also the brother of Geralyn Felder Montegut, Bruce Gerard Felder, Karen Felder Stoker, Donna Felder Ciaccio, Laurie Felder Lassiter and Melissa Felder Miller and son of Melvin Joseph Felder and Gloria Buckley. He was the son-in-law of Evelyn Bossier LeBlanc and the late Paul Myron LeBlanc Sr.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Church in LaPlace. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at the church with Fr. Walter Austin officiating.
