Karen “Mama 2” Woodruff, 52, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson. She was employed at Thrift Village Drugs in Luling for 30 years.

A very loving wife and mother who never met a stranger, she was known as the “social director,” and everyone was her friend.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Billy Woodruff, three sons, Lance Michael Woodruff (Michelle), Reese Woodruff (Chara) and Phillip Woodruff (Charles), a sister, Angelic Mack (Chris), and niece, Destiny Walker, as well as a future grandchild, Laney Ann Woodruff. She is also survived by a special cousin, Greg Jordan, aunts, uncles, a host of friends and her beloved Saints.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Evon Leggett.

Visitation and services were held Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Karen Woodruff Memorial Fund at the First American Bank, 13919 River Road, Suite 100, Luling , LA 70070.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Norco.
