Harold L. Petit, 95, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was a native of Hester and a veteran of the United States Navy in World War II.

He is survived by his brother, Mel Petit, and four sisters, Dorothy Roussel, Rose Louviere, Evelyn Pitts and Diane Marchese.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Petit and Evelyn Louque, and seven brothers, Claude, Dudley, Gerald, Herbert, Mike, Ronnie and Donald Petit.

Visitation and services were held Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Convent. Military honors followed in the church cemetery.
