Horace “Shorty” Cieutat Jr., 83, passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011.

He was the beloved husband of the late Anne “Pie” Cieutat and by second marriage of the late Eula Cieutat. father of Bruce Cieutat (Stephanie), Suzanne Cieutat, Cheryl Durand (Donald) and Stephanie Emerson (Bobby), grandfather of Amy LeBlanc and Chase Emerson, great-grandfather of Emme LeBlanc, son of the late Horace and Violet Tamplain Cieutat and brother of Ruby Bickett, the late Hazel Blazzard and Margaret Thompson.

He was a native and resident of LaPlace.

Visitation and services were held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in LaPlace on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011. Burial followed in St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve. Arrangements were by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home of LaPlace.
