Queen of Hearts winners

NORCO – On Saturday, Nov. 12, the River Parishes Fall Festival crowned, Jenna Mire, 18 as their new 2011-12 Miss Queen of Hearts.

She is a senior at Destrehan High School where she is a member of the student council, the kickoff mentor program and a member of 2011 Homecoming Court. She is also an ambassador for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, raising more than $7,000 and awarded the Breathe for Life Award. Her future plans are to attend Nicholls State University to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing with a concentration in neonatal care.

In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, crabbing, exercising and spending time with family and friends. She was also awarded the prettiest smile and fashion award. She is the daughter of Joseph and Marian Mire of Destrehan.

Other winners in the Miss division were first runner up Chelsey Stein of Reserve, second runner up and prettiest hair Ashlyn Lambert of LaPlace, third runner up Gabrielle Riecke of Montz and fourth runner up, prettiest eyes and photogenic Markie Grajkowski of Reserve.

Aubrey Morales, 16, of Destrehan was crowned the 20011-12 Teen Queen of Hearts.

She is presently a junior at Destrehan High School and on the principal’s list honor roll. She designed the 2011 reading banner for the St. Charles Parish Schools. Morales loves playing softball, volleyball, acting and following fashion trends. Her future plans are to attend Louisiana State University and become a neonatal nurse. She is the daughter of

Rick and Denise Morales of Destrehan.

Other winners in the Teen Division are first runner up and photogenic Tiffany Trosclair of LaPlace, second runner up Melissa Duhe of Montz, third runner up Abrielle Stoltz of LaPlace, fourth runner up and prettiest eyes, prettiest hair, prettiest smile and fashion award Abby Rochelle of Norco and fifth runner up Lillie Smith.

As the reigning 2011 Miss and Teen Queen of Hearts, Mire and Morales will travel the state of Louisiana visiting various fairs and festivals. Mire will also represent the River Parishes Fall Festival at the 2012 Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention and Queen of Queens pageant held in Baton Rouge in February 2012.

The mistresses of ceremonies for the pageant were Miss St. Charles Parish Festival Queen Brandie Clement and Teen St. Charles Parish Festival Queen Kristen LaTour. Doreen Landry served as the pageant director.
