LAPLACE – River Parishes Hospital recently held a blessing and dedication ceremony for the hospital’s chapel. The hospital received an anonymous donation to renovate the chapel in honor of those individuals who currently serve in the military and to those who have lost their lives serving the country.

Gerald A. Fornoff, River Parishes Hospital chief executive officer, thanked all attendees for participating in the dedication and presented a plaque that will be displayed in the chapel in recognition of the donation. He then introduced Pastor Neil Bernard, a member of the River Parishes Hospital Board of Trustees and pastor at New Wine Christian Fellowship, who led all attendees in a blessing. After the ceremony, everyone was invited to a dessert reception in the hospital’s Administrative Conference Room.

“We are very appreciative of the donation in order to make our chapel a more calming and tranquil environment for our patients and visitors,” said Fornoff.
