Wilda Mills Work passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011.

She was the beloved wife of Samuel C. Work and mother of Deborah Hickman (Barry), Staci Songy (Ricky) and the late Mark Work.

She was especially proud of her five grandchildren, Christopher and Kyle Work, Hunter and Tyler Songy and Emily Hickman, and three great-grandchildren Thatcher, Tyler and Harper Work, who she cherished and adored.

She was the daughter of the late Paulee and Willie Douglas Mills and sister of Virginia Varnado, Yvonne Lee and the late Irene West, Raymond, Eugene, Warren and Alfred Mills.

She was a native of Wayne County, Miss., and a resident of LaPlace.

Visitation and services were held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace on Thursday, Oct. 20. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery in Picayune, Miss.
