Leo J. Lambert Jr., 80, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, at St. James Parish Hospital. He was a military veteran, member of the Knights of Columbus and Lutcher Quarterback Club and served as an usher at St. Joseph and St. Michael churches. He was a Lutcher volunteer firefighter and retired operator with Shell Oil of Norco.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ernestine V. Lambert; five sons and spouses, Michael and Tessa, Mark and Edie, Milton “Bud” and Sharon, Melvin and Patrice and Myron and Paula Lambert; daughter Linda Thibodeaux and spouse Craig “Tiger”; 16 grandchildren, Hillary, Tyler, Hannah, Tanner, Ashley, Raelynn, Mason, Kelsi, Maggie, Reed, Rory, Mallory and Matthew Lambert, Jessica L. Harvey and husband David of Covington and Jaci and Trey Harrison; two step-grandchildren, Andree and Whitney Thibodeaux; and great-grandson, Ryder Lambert. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren, Bailey, Keegan, Chandler, Bentley and Karson Thibodeaux; two sisters and spouses, Grace and Jesse Talimine and Gloria and Fred Carpenter; and host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo J. Lambert Sr. and Ella Bourgeois Lambert.
Visitation will be held at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev.
