Durel Anthony Millet passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the age of 43 at Ochsner Hospital in Jefferson. He was a native and resident of Gramercy.

Millet was an employee of Walmart of LaPlace and an honorary member of the LaPlace and Gramercy Volunteer fire departments.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Berthelot Millet, his daughter, Mariah, his companion, Sheryl Painter, and her daughter, Grace Painter, his brothers, David, Donald and Godfrey Jr., and his sister, Donna Arceneaux, and her husband, Dale.

He was preceded in death by his father, Godfrey Millet Sr., and a brother, Michael Millet.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy on Friday, June 24, 2011. Burial followed in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Paulina. In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred. Friends and family members can express condolences at www. hcalexanderfh.com.
