United Way of St. Charles selects campaign leaders

LULING — Representatives from Dow and St. Charles Parish Public Schools are serving as chairpersons for the 2011 United Way of St. Charles Fall Campaign.
Brian Eiler, representing Dow, is serving as this year’s campaign chairman. Serving as the co-chair is Rochelle Cancienne-Touchard from St. Charles Parish Public Schools.
“I have previously worked on our employee campaign at Dow, and it makes me very proud to see how a community can mobilize to ensure the needs of St. Charles Parish residents are taken care of,” said Eiler. “I am honored to be selected to lead this effort for the United Way of St. Charles this year.”
United Way of St. Charles conducts a fundraising campaign every fall to develop resources that help support agencies and programs providing direct services in St. Charles Parish.
The United Way Campaign is held during the months of October through December. The campaign kicks off with the 2011 Battle for the Paddle Gumbo and Jambalaya Cook-off on Oct. 6 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.
United Way of St. Charles is a nonprofit organization that works to create lasting changes in St. Charles Parish by funding agencies and developing program that target education, income and health.
