Claud E Brandon, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011.    

He is survived by a son, William, and his wife, Nancy, and grandchildren Zachary and Gabrielle, of Gonzales; a stepson, Jimmy, and his wife, Sandy Ellis, of Luling; a grandchild, Lynette, and her husband, Brent Bourgeois, and great-grandchildren Tyler and Aaron of Luling; a grandchild, Doug Ellis, of Luling; and a stepson, Milton Ellis.  

He is the son of the late Claude and Nellie Brandon of Refugio, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Brandon, and his second wife, Jessie Brandon.

He was born in Temple, Texas, Sept. 2, 1921. Claud graduated from Refugio High School and attended Texas A&M University before enlisting in the marines and serving in World War II. He was a lifelong golfer, Aggie lover and Saints fan.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 301 Bamboo Road, LaPlace, on April 26, 2011, at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church, 301 Bamboo Road, LaPlace LA 70068.
