Rosa Vines Torres passed away on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at the age of 83.

She was the beloved wife of the late Jack F. Torres, beloved mother of Gerry Torres and Jacqueline McGee (Larry), grandmother of Derek (Ilka) and Jack Woodson, Michael and Scott (Christine) McGee and sister of Ellie Esther Dornan. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren.

She loved her church family and friends and working in her yard. She had a wicked sense of humor. Our beloved mother will be missed greatly.

She was a native of Texas and a resident of LaPlace.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend services. Visitation will be at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Hwy., LaPlace, on Thursday, March 3, 2011, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by Religious Services at the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery of LaPlace.
