All the hard work pays dividends

Every Thursday morning for the past nine years, Danny Louque and I have led a Fellowship for Christian Athletes group at Riverside Academy.
The students that choose to attend come to school 45 minutes early for the 7:15 group. We allow the students to participate and encourage the reading of the Bible.
Over the years we have been motivated to continue because our efforts have not been in vain.
Please allow me to share the following card I received two weeks ago.
February 11, 2011
Dear Mr. Harold,
About four years ago when I was in eighth grade, you told me I should go to the FCA meeting that Thursday morning. You told me this after a baseball game, and you could probably tell I didn’t have a lot of confidence in myself, but you must have seen something special in me.
You also told me to start jumping rope, which would increase my hand-eye coordination; I still do jump some rope from time to time.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank
you for inviting me. FCA has really changed me in the last four years.
I have a better relationship with
God now. Thanks for caring and doing so much not only for me but also for the whole community. FCA meetings really make my Thursdays and weeks a whole lot better.
Thanks so much.

Ryan will attend Mississippi State University and plans to major in pre-med.
