A 100th birthday celebration was recently held for Mary Victor at The River Room in Luling.

It was largely attended by family and friends. In honor of Victor, a proclamation was read on behalf of U.S. President Barack Obama and St. John Parish President Natalie Robottom congratulating her on her centennial birthday.

Victor is a life long resident of Lucy.

She birthed four children, Jacqueline V. Duhe, Beverly Boudoin, the late Wanda Fairley and Michael Victor. She also has 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Victor enjoys reading, talking to family and friends, and going to church.
