James “Jimmy” Louis Adams Jr. passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at the age of 54. He was the beloved son of Shirley Conzonere Adams and the late Jimmy Adams Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa Cordes Adams, and was father of Jimmy Adams III, Jessica Adams Lasiter and the late Jesse Adams; brother of Jamie Raffield, Albert Adams, Shirley Adams, Ellen Adams and Joseph Adams; and proud grandfather of Jimmy Adams IV and Madison and Cameron Lasiter.

Adams was the owner of Rex Heating and Air Conditioning of Kenner. He will always to be remembered by his selflessness and concern for everyone around him. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Kenner Funeral Home of L.A. Muhleisen and Son, 2607 Williams Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
