Paper giving Santa a hand
Published 12:00 am Saturday, December 4, 2010
LAPLACE — L’Observateur is asking children in the River Parishes to send their letters to Santa Claus to us, and we will forward them to the North Pole.
In the meantime, L’Observateur will publish the letters in a special keepsake edition on Saturday, Dec. 18.
Letters in the child’s handwriting are encouraged but should be legible. Parents, you can help young children by writing the letter and letting them draw a picture on the page. Pictures are welcome and may be published as well.
Letters should be written on a piece of plain white paper in black pen or dark pencil. Drawings can be in crayon or marker and must be on the same piece of paper as the letter.
Each child is encouraged to sign their letter, but parents, please write the child’s full name, age and hometown on the back side of the paper, near the bottom.
Letters must be delivered to our office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, for inclusion in the special section.
Send letters to: Letters to Santa, c/o L’Observateur, 116 Newspaper Drive, LaPlace, LA 70068, or drop them off at our office located off Main Street behind Destiny Christian Center.
