The MC101 course, newly updated for version 5.0, provides students with exposure to the core skills, workflows and concepts involved
in professional nonlinear editing
on Avid Media Composer systems. The course is designed as a five-day course, but is offered to the Team Members in the Advanced TV Broadcasting Course throughout the year with the goal of becoming an Avid Certified User – Level
One.
The MC101 Course is being taught by ATVB Facilitator Albert Dupont who has been an Avid Certified Instructor since 2008 and has been editing on Avid systems since 1996.
Plans are in the works to offer the MC101 5 Day Class to educators and students outside of the District in the spring and summer of 2011. The Satellite Center is a part of the St. Charles Parish Public Schools System and is a “satellite” of Hahnville and Destrehan High Schools in Southeast Louisiana.
