Kevin J. Torres departed this life on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at the age of 54.

Born Nov. 2, 1956, he was a native and lifelong resident of Garyville. He was the beloved husband for 31 years to Roxanne Catoire Torres and loving father of Steven M. Torres (Jenny Denoux), Troy D. Torres (Nichole Dunn) and Devin J. Torres. He was the son of the late Wilson “Nanoon” Torres and Anna Galatas Torres and brother of Penny Torres, Robert Torres (Trudy), and Dennis Torres (Charlotte). He is survived by mother-in-law JoAnn Gaudet Catoire; brother-in-law Leo Catoire III (Debra); sisters-in-law Cindy Breaux (Chuck) and Laurie Bourgeois (Danny) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Leo Catoire Jr.

Kevin was employed by EVONIK, Garyville. He will be remembered as a great father, wonderful husband and a best friend to all who knew him.

Visitation was at Rose Lynn Funeral Home in Lutcher on Sunday, Nov. 7, and Monday, Nov. 8. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at St. Hubert’s Catholic Church in Garyville.
