LAPLACE – Despite getting off to a relatively slow and rocky start, the New Orleans Saints have seen a return to form over the last two games. Perhaps that has put L’Observateur’s readers in an optimistic mood because when the question “What do you think their record at the end of the regular season will be?” was posed, most respondents thought the Saints would continue their winning ways.

Well over half of respondents thought their final record would be either 12-4 or 11-5. Those were the two most popular responses.

The next two most popular responses, 10-6 and 9-7, together garnered over a quarter of the vote.

A mere 6 percent of respondents thought the black and gold would not attain a winning record this season. A few more than that, 9 percent to be exact, thought the Saints would go unbeaten for the rest of the season.

A full breakdown of responses follows:

• 9 percent of respondents chose “13-3.”

• 27 percent of respondents chose “12-4.”

• 30 percent of respondents chose “11-5.”

• 17 percent of respondents chose “10-6.”

• 10 percent of respondents chose “9-7.”

• 3 percent of respondents chose “8-8.”

• 1 percent of respondents chose “7-9.”

• 2 percent of respondents chose “6-10.”
