Destrehan High School recognized Regina and Trent Bonnette for their tireless dedication to the Pride of Destrehan High School Band. Mr. and Mrs. Bonnette have led the Band Parents organization for the past six years. Besides helping the band with festivals, concerts and parades, the Bonnettes have also worked every football game for the past six years selling concessions in order to raise money for the band. Principal Stephen Weber reflected on the service of the Bonnettes to DHS High School by saying, “Their dedication to our band and band organization over the past decade has been truly remarkable. They have been an integral part of the growth and success of the Destrehan High band program, and to replace them as leaders in this program will be a daunting task – they will be sadly missed.”
