Early voting starts today

LAPLACE – Registrar of Voters Offices across the River Parishes reminds residents that early voting for the Oct. 2 second Party Primary Congressional/Open Primary Election begins this weekend.

The early voting period opens today and runs through Saturday, Sept. 25.

Offices in St. John, St. James and St. Charles parishes will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except for Sunday, Sept. 19.

Residents of St. John can vote either at the Registrar of Voters Office at the Percy Hebert Building, 1801 W. Airline Highway, LaPlace, or at the St. John Parish Courthouse, 2393 Louisiana Highway 18, Edgard. Residents of St. James may either vote at the St. James Parish Courthouse, 5800 Louisiana Highway 44, Convent, or the Courthouse annex, 2631 Louisiana Highway 20, Vacherie. Residents of St. Charles may either vote at the St. Charles Parish Courthouse, 15045 River Road, Hahnville, or the Arterbury Building, 14564 River Road in New Sarpy.
