A week after being slowed by Dutchtown in a season opening loss, Lutcher looked as high powered as ever offensively in a 56-18 victory over Scotlandville.

Austin Brack and Ruston Matherne combined to lead the Bulldog attack, going 18-for-29 for 297 yards and four touchdowns. Brack went 11-for-21 for 169 yards while Matherne was 7-for-8 for 128 yards. Each threw a pair of touchdown passes.

Jarvis Landry led all receivers with six catches for 112 yards. Daniel Taylor, Trevor Englade and De’Amphrey Davis each hauled in three receptions.

LHS (1-1) also ran for 209 yards, led by Daniel Taylor’s 52 yards on six carries. Nine different Bulldogs carried the ball on the night.

The Bulldogs scored the first three touchdowns of the night: on Matherne’s 25-yard pass to Landry, on DiJohn Payne’s 21-yard run, and on Brack’s 25-yard pass to Davis.

Kimani Smith’s 3-yard scoring run put Scotlandville on the board, and James Norman’s3-yard run in the second quarter drew the Hornets within 12.

But LHS scored the next 28 unanswered points in the second half to seal things. Landry accounted for two of those scores (two yard run, 30-yard pass from Brack). Englade and Jared Poche ran for the next two, from 28 and 33 yards away respectively.

Lutcher outgained Scotlandville 506-249 on the game.
