During the June 2010 regular Commission meeting, the Port of South Louisiana board of commissioners elected Gregory Gravois as treasurer for 2010-11.

He was appointed to the commission by the governor to represent St. James Parish in 2000 and has served as president (2003-2005) and vice president (2000-2004; 2005-2010).

Upon his election as treasurer, Gravois commented that he is “… looking forward to working with the commission and continue the cooperative marketing endeavor between the five deep-water ports of Louisiana to make sure we hold on to our market share in this downward economy.”
