Elbert Joseph “Bubba” “B.J.” Jenkins departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 7, 2010.

He was the son of Eula Myles Hart and the late Clarence Jenkins Jr., loving father of Melissa and Derrick Scott and Darrell and Darnell Joseph, brother of Cynthia (Owen) Creecy, Yolanda Jenkins, Sonja Richard, Tomeka Bailey, Alice (Bernard) Burton and Darryl Jenkins of Atlanta and six grandchildren.

He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends, pastors, officers and members of St. Matthew Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at the above-named church, 604 E.S. Johnson St., New Sarpy, on Friday, July 16, at 11 a.m. Pastor Fred T. Porter officiating.

Church visitation is from 10 a.m. until service begins. Interment will be in New Sarpy Cemetery.
