I’ve heard it said that God will supply all your needs if you attempt to serve and trust Him.

This year makes 30 years that God gave Jeanne and me the ministry of Get High on Life. I must admit that at the time I never realized that it was a ministry. Now, I thank Him every day for allowing us to be trusted servants in sharing the Good News of the Kingdom of God.

Over the years, I haven’t always trusted Him, except at certain times when I had no choice but to turn to Him.

One such time was over 13 years ago when our finances were completely exhausted and I had no place to turn. I remember waking up one morning at 2 a.m. tormented with my financial situation and about to be evicted from my apartment. I told God that if I wasn’t doing His work, I was ready to go home.

Two days later, I received a call early in the morning from a lady in Cape Girardeau, Mo. “Are you Harold Keller with Get High on Life? Do you remember me?” she asked. “No, not really,” I answered. She shared that it had been four years since we met at Shoney’s in LaPlace. I then recalled the meeting with her, her husband, her daughter and her son-in-law.

She then said, “I was praying this morning, and God told me that you were in need of some money. My pride kicked in, showed its ugly face and I said, “Not really.” “I have to obey God,” she continued. “I’m sending you a check and you use it as you wish.”

She sent me a check for $3,000. I needed $2,700 just to meet my immediate needs. Three years later, that same lady sent me a $10,000 check for God’s ministry of Get High on Life.

If I met that lady face to face today, I wouldn’t know her. I can’t picture her.

I can understand that some people will have a hard time believing this story. It happened to Jeanne and me and, in the natural, we find it hard to explain, but in the spiritual world, it’s a testimony that God will provide what we all need, when we need it, if we love and attempt to serve and trust Him.
