Norco K-3, second- and third-grade students logged 2,000 miles using
pedometers during Physical Education class. Since the beginning of the year, pedometers are used as a fitness tool to help students monitor their activity levels in P.E. class. At the end of each class, the students record the number of steps they have taken. At the end of the week, each student receives a sticker which states their total steps and miles for the week. As an added incentive the boy and girl recording the most steps/miles receives a Fitness Star for the Week certificate with their picture to bring home.
