RANDLE

Joseph Patrick Randle, 88, entered into eternal rest in Jesus on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010. A resident of LaPlace for the past 18 years, he was the beloved husband of Janet Phillippe Randle for the past 40 years, father of Joseph Patrick Randle IV, Greg Randle and Terry Randle and stepfather of Jana Clements Connelly, Becky Clements Parker and Gail Clements Beckemeyer.
He was the son of the late Wilke and Edna (Dozier) Randle and was also preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph Patrick Randle III, and adult son, Ronnie Randle. He is survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Joe was an employee of Marathon Refining, Illinois Division for 30 years. After retiring, Joe and Janet moved to LaPlace to be near their youngest grandchildren. Joe was employed at the Finish Line in LaPlace from 1993 to 1999 and developed many friendships there. Joe proudly served his country as a pilot during WWII.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Kim, Lola, Andrea, Allette and all of the staff at Family Home Health Care and also the staff at Ochsner Hospital for the loving care they provided.
Joe will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Services were held in Robinson, Ill., on Friday, Feb. 26. Burial was in the Robinson New Cemetery.
