LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish authorities arrested a Reserve man accused of molesting a 15-year-old boy inside his home Friday, said a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.
Kirk Weber, 48, 349 N.W. Fourth St., was charged with molestation of a juvenile after the boy’s mother contacted police to file a complaint, said Dane Clement, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office.
According to a report on the incident, while the boy was a visitor in Weber’s home, Weber allegedly inappropriately touched the sleeping boy.
Clement said Weber was booked into the Sherman Walker Correctional Facility in LaPlace Friday afternoon. He was released from jail after posting a $45,000 commercial bond.
