DOTD to work on LaPlace roadways

LaPlace residents should be on the lookout for minor roadwork that will affect two residential streets all next week.
Officials with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and development said work crews will be conducting pavement-patching work along Elm and Hemlock Streets from Airline Highway to West Fifth Street. Work will begin Tuesday and end Friday. All work will be done between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures during the work period. No oversize loads greater than 12 feet will be allowed on the roads. Drivers should use River Road to get around the work.
