Time running out for LUMCON photograph contest

“Louisiana’s Marine Natural Resources” is the theme for the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium’s (LUMCON) 2009 Photography Contest. LUMCON hosts a photo exhibit every year this year during the month of April.

Winning photos appear in LUMCON publications and on the website. Please include original color or black and white prints or digital images in jpeg or tiff formats that should be at least 300 dpi. Prints must be between 4 by 6 inches and 8 by 10 inches in diameter. Previous entries and published photographs are not eligible. The contest allows only five entries per person.

Entries should be postmarked no later than April 1, 2009 to qualify. Late or incomplete entries will not be considered. Entries will not be returned or confirmed by LUMCON. Winning entries will be announced by May 1, 2009.

Divisions include:

Kids (12 and under),

Teens (13-18),

Adults (18 and over) and

LUMCON employees.

 Participation in the contest constitutes approval to publish the photograph. Contestants must own all rights to the work submitted. Other rules and specifications may apply.
