BATON ROUGE — LSU wide receiver and former East St. John standout Ricky Dixon has decided to transfer to another school, head coach Les Miles confirmed on Thursday.

Dixon, who would have been a junior eligibility wise for the Tigers in 2009, is thought to be transferring to Texas Southern.

Dixon, a wide receiver from LaPlace, La., played in 10 games for the Tigers in 2008, all in a backup role.

During his LSU career, Dixon played in 15 games and recorded two receptions for a total of 13 yards, which included one catch for four yards in 2008.
