Marilyn “Peanut” Tamplain Broome, age 65, of Marietta, Ga., died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009. She was born in Lutcher to the late Prentice Albert Tamplain Jr. and Dorothy Landry Tamplain Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Lynn Tamplain and Prentice “Pat” Tamplain III and her niece Tracey E. Brignac.

She is survived by children Chris (Kim) Broome of Fayetteville, Ga., Mike (Kelly) Broome of Jackson, Ga., and Ben Broome, Cartersville, Ga., siblings Sherryl Tamplain Savoie of Reserve, Gloria Jean Brignac of Baton Rouge and Charles “Beebee” Tamplain of Reserve, eight grandchildren Seth, Anslee and Laurel Broome of Fayetteville, Ga., Jacob, Elijah and Asher Broome of McDonough, Ga., David Broome of Cartersville, Ga., and Amy Broome Ellijay and numerous, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial Services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the McDonough First United Methodist. Inurnment services were held on Saturday, Jan 17, at St. Peter Mausoleum in Reserve.
