Elaine Simon Fabares, died on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie. She was 73 years old, a native and resident of Norco. She is survived by her husband Joe Fabares; three sons: Dean Fabares, Don Fabares and Dave Fabares; five grandchildren: Drake, Chad, Christopher, Crystal and Kaden; two great-grandchildren: Drake Jr. and Jayce. Preceded in death by her parents Amelius Simon and Blanche Hayden Simon.

Visitation and services were held on Monday Jan. 5, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Norco. Interment followed in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie.
