The German Coast Farmers’ Market celebrated Oktoberfest with a special Halloween Contest and Parade, a German Potato Salad Contest and a Growing Your Own Pumpkin Contest.

The Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at Ormond Plantation on River Road in Destrehan.

A Thanksgiving Celebration will be held on Sat. Nov. 22. Live music, great food, fresh fruits, vegetables. and lots of unique gift ideas will be available.
