West St. John was awarded a forfeit victory over district opponent East Iberville on Friday night.

The game was scheduled to be played at East Iberville, but the team was unable to field a full lineup of players.

West St. John Coach Robert Valdez said he learned of East Iberville’s decision in the middle of last week.

As per Louisiana High School Athletic Association rules, the Rams officially earn a 2-0 victory as per the forfeit.

West St. John moves to 3-3 on the season, 2-0 in District 9-1A. East Iberville falls to 0-5, and 0-3 in district.

The Rams will go on the road this Friday night to face district foe North Iberville, currently winless at 0-6.
