LAPLACE – A Reserve man was taken into custody late Wednesday after he was caught relieving himself on a St. John Parish-owned vehicle, said a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.
Maj. Mike Tregre, public information officer for the Sheriffs’ Office, said 59-year-old Michael J. Cambre, 710 La. Hwy 44, Reserve, was arrested without incident after he was caught urinating on a St. John Parish Code Enforcement Officer’s vehicle. The incident happened around 10:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the parish service center located at 102 E. Airline Hwy. in LaPlace.
According to the report on the incident, a deputy on active patrol investigating slowing traffic on eastbound Airline Highway observed Cambre urinating on the vehicle. The deputy immediately stopped Cambre and arrested him for the obscene act.
Cambre was booked into the Sherman Walker Correctional facility on a first offense obscenity charge. He was released Thursday morning after posting a $130 cash bond.
Tregre said other than the obscenity arrest Cambre’s prior record includes an arrest for DWI in St. John Parish back in 2001.
