It’s time for the annual Get High on Life golf tournament

In February of 1980, the Get High on Life nonprofit organization was created. The mission statement is: To reach out to the many troubled, lonely and hurting in today’s world; and, trusting that God will steer us onto a plan of action, to make a difference each day by touching at least one person’s life. By doing so, we will have lessened their burden and given them hope for a happier, more productive life.
Jeanne and I are but trusted servants in God’s ministry. We pray that we will never abuse this privilege.
Many people ask how Get High on Life is funded. We depend entirely on individual and business contributions and have two annual fundraisers. In May, the Get High on Life committee holds a fundraising banquet and in October, Danny and Sue Louque of Quality Machine Works, Inc., sponsor a golf tournament with all the proceeds going to the ministry.
On Monday, October 13th, Quality Machine Works will host its 11th annual tournament at the Belle Terre Country Club in LaPlace with a shot-gun tee time at 1:00 p.m. The entrance fee is $100 per player which includes green fees, cart rental, two mulligans, a golf shirt, lunch, refreshments, awards and prizes.
A dinner banquet will he held immediately following the tournament in the clubhouse.
If you are unable to play the day of the tournament, you may wish to sponsor a tee box sign for $100, which includes your choice of advertisement. We welcome you to join us for dinner that afternoon around 5:00 p.m. in the clubhouse.
Jeanne and I are grateful for the support the community has always given to Get High on Life. If you are unable to participate in the tournament, but would like to contribute to the ministry, please mail checks to: P.O. Drawer U, Reserve, LA 70084.
