Scott Stonestreet, 15, played in the Arrowhead Junior Golf Tournament at Carter Plantation in Springfield, LA on Jan. 12-13.

For Stonestreet, who also plays baseball at Destrehan, it was his first junior golf event. His strength was in the driving game, while he struggled at times with his approach shot and putting. But at the end of the event, Stonestreet played well enough to place 23rd.

Stonestreet has been playing golf since the age of 11, and often plays with his father at the Ormond Country Club.

The Arrowhead Tour helps showcase junior golfers for potential college scholarships. It travels from Louisiana to Florida.
