Homicide ruled in St. Rose death

ST. ROSE – Investigators for the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office looking into a suspicious death in St. Rose last week have deemed the incident a homicide, the second of the year for St. Charles Parish.

Hilda Warren, 70, was found bleeding and unresponsive in her home at 134 4th St. in St. Rose.

Relatives contacted paramedics around 1 p.m. that afternoon. When they arrived, they were unable to revive Warren. An autopsy report conducted the next day discovered an &#8220unobtrusive gunshot wound.” Authorities would not specify where on her body Warren was shot. They also would not release the type of weapon involved.

Dwyane LaGrange, spokesman for the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing, and detectives are seeking out any leads or motives in the shooting.
